Cape Coral is divided into four quadrants; Southeast, Southwest, Northeast, Northwest.
-
The north-south dividing line is Hancock Bridge Pkwy
-
The east-west dividing line is Santa Barbara Blvd
-
Most addresses are identified with a SE, SW, NE, or NW designation
-
Avenues, Boulevards, Courts, and Places run north to south
-
Lanes, Terraces, Streets, and Parkways run east to west
-
The first and/or second digit of a street address indicates the block number
-
The city’s named streets, unless they are followed by a boulevard or parkway designation, are located in the downtown (or southeast) area of the city.
- The city does not have subdivisions like most other cities, it is divided into units.
However there are many areas that are recognizable by name.
For example: The Gold Coast area runs along river in the SE area. Country Club is located around a golf course and consist of units 9, 10, 14 & 15. The Yacht Club is located in the bottom SE section along the River in units 1-5. Eight Lakes is located below Cape Coral Pkwy in unit 44 and is easily recognizable by the eight lakes. The Rose Garden is in unit 67 and Tarpon Point is in unit 77. Camelot Isles is in the bottom SW section of the Cape in units 69 & 72. Cape Harbor is an exclusive gated community in the bottom SW section in unit 75. (more to come soon...)
